About the artist:

I have been doing stained glass for many, many years. For approximately 8 years I was a demonstrating stained glass artist at Engler Block in Branson, MO. We did quite a bit of custom glass for customers around the country as well stained glass windows for theaters and hotels in the area.  I "retired" from that venue several years ago to a little cottage in the backwoods of Arkansas. Stained glass is a passion that persists and allows me creative expression while allowing me time to care for my dogs and kennel.  My husband is a graphic artist and can create almost any design imaginable. Between the two of us, we can bring almost any idea to life.

Technique:  Each piece of glass is cut with a glass cutter, wrapped in copper foil and then soldered together.  Usually a black or copper patina is applied to change the silver color.  This is known as the Tiffany method of stained glass as opposed to lead came construction.  With this method a stronger and more detailed effect is achieved.

If you have any ideas for a custom piece or would like something you see here in a different color, please let me know. We can design practically anything and construct in your favorite colors.

This piece I constructed for my front door.  We are obviously Led Zeppelin fans as the Hermit appeared on inside of the album with Stairway to Heaven.  It is my personal favorite.
